Ukrainian children learn to manage their emotions

Living well requires being able to express, understand and manage emotions. Our colleague, psychotherapist Georgiana Șoricică, organised an art therapy workshop for Ukrainian refugee children aged 10 to 15, where they were able to discover themselves, learn how to express their basic emotions, how to manage anger and sadness through art. During the workshop, children also learned how to express their creativity and emotions through painting, drawing and other artistic activities.

And because feeling safe is equally important, our colleague, psychotherapist Georgiana Soricica, helped Ukrainian refugee children aged 7 to 10 learn how to identify bullying, how to protect themselves from possible bullying and how to feel safe. Through games, exercises and interactive discussions, the children were encouraged in this personal development workshop to learn how to communicate effectively and develop their social and relationship skills.

This activity was organised in the framework of the project “AIDRom – Emergency Response for Conflict Affected Communities in Ukraine”, funded by the ACT Alliance.
