The AIDRom team in Timisoara builds capacity to assist refugees
On 14-17 September 2023, colleagues from Timisoara had a capacity building and development session for the team involved in the implementation of the UNHCR-supported project “Support services for refugees from the Timișoara transit center and refugees from Ukraine in the Western region”. This activity took place in Bulgaria and was an opportunity to combine recreational activities and training sessions aimed at helping them to work together more effectively to achieve the objectives of the project. In addition, the participants had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the values and principles that guide the daily work of AIDRom and to develop communication and team collaboration skills.
”This training and capacity building session was an important step towards increasing the skills of our team to provide even more effective support to refugees in the Timisoara Transit Centre and to refugees from Ukraine facing various difficulties. Through the training sessions, participants learned new methods and techniques to deal with complex situations and to provide better and more tailored services to the specific needs of our beneficiaries. Thank you UNHCR, with whom we will continue to be actively involved in this important mission of being here to help refugees and other vulnerable people”, said Ms Elena Timofticiuc, AIDRom Executive Secretary, at the end of the training session for Capacity Building.
In addition to developing professional skills, this event also strengthened the team spirit and stimulated collaboration between our colleagues in Timisoara and the entire AIDRom team.
