International workshop in Georgia: Sharing knowledge for addressing psychosocial care in refugee integration projects
From 8 to 15 October 2023, our psychologist colleague, involved in the project ”Integration of refugees from Ukraine in Romania”, carried out with the support of KHK (Kirchen Helfen Kirchen) participated, together with 31 other participants representing 20 organisations from 13 countries, in the workshop “Mutual learning about psychosocial approaches and care”.
Held in Georgia with the support of Brot für die Welt, the workshop took the community-based psychosocial approach as its starting point. The information received from the Georgian and German facilitators enriched the participants’ repertoire of methodologies and taught them new approaches, through which they can provide “care” every day for the workers in their organisation, for its future.
Participants contributed by sharing experiences and methods from their organisations and prepared a wellbeing strategy for their own organisation during the workshop.
