Memories from the Athenaeum
Quartet no. 1, in D minor, op. 27 by Edvard Grieg and the Sextet “Souvenir de Florence” in D minor, op.70 by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky from the program of the extraordinary chamber recital “Memories from Florence” performed on November 12 by members of the “George Enescu” Philharmonic, as well as works by Robert Schumann, Serghei Prokofiev and César Franck from the program of the chamber recital “Heirs of Musical Romania” on November 15, both held on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum, also delighted the Ukrainian refugees who were in the hall thanks to the kindness of the “George Enescu” Philharmonic, who made available, again this time, the concert tickets. The cultural activity is part of the series of activities carried out within the project “Integration of refugees from Ukraine in Romania”, carried out by AIDRom – the Ecumenical Association of Churches in Romania with the support of KHK (Kirchen Helfen Kirchen), with the main purpose of supporting vulnerable migrants, especially from Ukraine, in their process of integration into Romanian society.
