The first meeting of this year’s AIDRom Administration Board took place today, 18 January 2024, in Bucharest, at the Association’s headquarters. During the meeting, the activities and programmes carried out by AIDRom in 2023 were evaluated and the objectives, strategies and budget for 2024 were approved, and the new projects to be implemented this year were presented..
An emotional moment was the announcement of the retirement of Elena Timofticiuc, Executive Secretary of AIDRom, after an outstanding career in which she guided and trained thousands of people involved in the projects carried out by AIDRom in the fields of social services, migration, sustainable development and ecumenical cooperation.
”With gratitude and admiration, we bid farewell to Mrs. Elena Timofticiuc, who dedicated 33 years of her life to AIDRom’s mission of helping vulnerable people, refugees and migrants and promoting ecumenical unity. We thank her for her vision, professionalism and generosity in leading the Association and wish her good health and happiness in the new chapter of her life. At the same time, we welcome and wish success to Mrs. Zoltani Katalin, taking over the torch. We are confident that under her leadership, AIDRom will continue to be a reliable partner and a relevant actor in Romanian society, and her rich experience will enable her to identify new opportunities aligned with AIDRom’s mission, which will continue to respond, through the projects it undertakes, to the social problems of Romanian society and to reaffirm our common commitment whereby the Churches, in mutual respect, act together in Christian faith for social justice, human dignity and the integrity of creation”, pointed out the Board members.
The members of the Administration Board recorded the decision to appoint the new Executive Secretary of AIDRom, Mrs Zoltani Katalin.
