Christmas, Christmas is coming!

The multidisciplinary team from the Bucharest Regional Center for Procedures and Accommodation of Asylum Seekers, organized on December 8, 2023, together with colleagues from the General Inspectorate for Immigration and those from the Romanian National Council for Refugees Foundation (CNRR), a recreational activity for asylum seekers focusing on the Christmas tree and the Romanian custom of decorating it together with family, loved ones, and the micro-community they belong to. “Let’s decorate the Christmas tree together!” said also the asylum seekers from CRPCSA Galati, on December 13, and their day was filled with light and the joy of Romanian carols. Meanwhile, on December 12, the colleagues from Bucharest involved the beneficiaries from the headquarters in Stolnicul Vasile Street in an educational-recreational activity based on captivating educational materials while the introductory Romanian language courses continued at a sustained pace. On December 19, asylum seekers from Bucharest visited the Christmas Fair in Moghioroș Park, together with the representatives of minors from DGASPC. These activities, aimed at reducing the stress of resettlement and making bearable the time spent waiting for legal procedures, are carried out within the project “Assistance services for refugees from the Timisoara transit center and refugees from Ukraine in the Western region” (Output 3), supported by UNHCR.
