Autumn Festival: a celebration of community and creativity for Ukrainian refugees

On November 18, 2024, within the framework of the project “Integration of refugees from Ukraine in Romania”, carried out by AIDRom with funding from Brot für die Welt, the Autumn Festival took place, an event dedicated to the project beneficiaries, which brought together 27 participants.

The festival, held in an atmosphere full of warmth and color, offered a unique opportunity for refugees to celebrate the beauty of autumn and to connect through creative activities. Aromatic tea, enriched with seasonal fruits, delicious cakes, and carefully prepared snacks contributed to creating a friendly and relaxing ambiance.

Participants had the opportunity to paint on autumn themes, using bright and vibrant colors, expressing their creativity and appreciation for this season. They also made handicrafts, such as earrings and key chains, which became symbols of a memorable day.

The event was a celebration of the season and also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen community bonds and bring joy to the participants. The colors and shapes created intertwined in a true rainbow of good cheer and celebration, demonstrating that simple moments can have a profound impact on those going through difficult times. The Autumn Festival was a success within AIDRom’s initiatives to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees, offering them practical help and a platform for creative expression and reconnecting with the beauties of everyday life.
