”TOLERANT”
AIDRom started the TOLERANT, Transnational Network for the Integration of Women Victims of Human Trafficking, project, on 2nd of January 2019.
The main objective of the project is to enhance the integration of third-country national women victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation into the labour market in Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Romania and the EU in general through employment support. More specifically, the project aims to:
– intensifying transnational cooperation and exchanges on the integration of sexually exploited women in the labour market
– increased access for sexually exploited VoT women to integrated and gender-specific services that support their access to employment (taking into account the specific needs of victims of sexual exploitation
– raising awareness among employers, recruiters and policy makers and/or other relevant stakeholders of the importance of facilitating women’s access to the labour market
The action focused on Austria, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria and Romania. The first three countries are countries of destination and transit and the last two are main countries of origin and, to a lesser extent, transit and destination.
SupportingVoT to control their lives and to function as autonomously as possible in the host country, re-victimisation is reduced, as is the risk of social exclusion. Women will be able to become more active in the host society.
270 of VoT women received counselling services.
The main objective – support for Vot and combating THB (social partners NGOs, migrant refugees and asylum seekers, national and/or local authorities etc.) in partner countries (and/or other MS) and will be involved in the transnational and cooperation network which will be maintained and updated for at least 10 years.
