Specialized legal assistance and advice for SA and BPI in Romania

PROJECT: FAMI 20.02.02.02

The project aims to ensure access to counselling and legal assistance for asylum seekers, as well as for beneficiaries of international protection who have requested family reunification or whose situation is being reanalyzed, during the specific procedures. The project responds to the need for specialized assistance by providing individualized and adapted legal advice and assistance, which will also respond to the needs of vulnerable people, as appropriate.

The project is implemented by the Romanian National Council for Refugees – CNRR, in partnership with AIDRom – the Ecumenical Association of Churches in Romania, in Bucharest, Giurgiu, Galați, Timișoara, Șomcuta Mare, Rădăuți and other localities (if necessary), and aims to support at least 1900 people from the target group.

The project takes place over the course of 27 months, between September 26, 2020, and December 31, 2022, in three stages:

– Stage I: 26 Sept 2020 – 25 Sept 2021;

– Stage II: 27 Sept 2021 – 25 Sept 2022;

– Stage III: Sept 2022 – Dec 2022.

The project is financed by the European Union and the General Inspectorate for Immigration, through the National Program – Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration.
